I understand your point, but Lori did it because she wants her kids to be around a certain group. For example, when the story broke her daughter was on a yacht but she was with some college board member's daughter. You aren't going to be in these circles naturally unless you go to college. I guess you could somehow become friends with the "right" crowd but not as easily as it would be in college. Paid partnerships with Sephora are cool but she clearly wanted her daughters around a certain crowd. It's all about status.

Me too!!!! I assume they hired the best lawyers, but I am stumped.

Especially because there is so much EVIDENCe and tapes and emails/texts of her acknowledging the crime. The smoking gun is there. She took photos of her kid on a rowing machine, she was told her daughter did not academic any qualify and how they could create a fake profile if she paid the $. She is complicit. She was not duped or led to believe she was giving to charity.

I have zero idea how she thinks she is getting around this.
