Kavanaugh Accuser reveals her Identity

I wish the polygraph was 100% accurate but it isn’t.

I agree the polygraph is the wrong place to hang a hat.

The article details her account of why she didn’t come forward. At the time, she was ashamed and fearful her parents would punish her. She was likely asking herself whether she did anything to bring it on (dress a certain way, etc). She then said she feels (in hindsight after therapy) that several follow-on years after the incident it affected her mental health, her socializing and relationships, her academic life, etc.

It appears she didn’t tell anyone but her husband and therapist, and did so later in life (see reasons above). Even when she did, she appears not to have named him.

Recently when she came forward confidentially, her reasons for wanting to stay anonymous were that she doubted it would make an impact on his confirmation and that if named she would be “annihilated” by his supporters and perhaps the press. The reactions in this thread, but on a massive scale, are what she seems to have been concerned about.

There are simply a great many potential and common reasons why victims don’t come forward.

All the polygraph proves is that she believes what she remembers. It doesn’t mean that her memory is accurate.

Most importantly, it does not mean that her story is true. Only that she believes it to be true. They are not the same thing.

She doesn’t know when or where the party was, how she got there, how she got home, and has changed from 4 present to 2 present. All of those details are fuzzy, but she knows 100% it was that guy! That part I’m positive of.....

Please.

Last week I could have told you it will be a Democrat from CA, that probably teaches at a liberal college. I wonder how I would have guessed that?

She had also been drinking, so that could certainly cloud her memory of events.

This just doesn’t “smell” right.

And, the fact that she is a college professor (in CA, no less) lends it even less credibility.

She had one beer. Kavanaugh and Judge were the ones who were drunk.

ACCORDING TO HER. Honestly, why is it that you only believe one side of this story?

+1 and I hope her life can handle the scrutiny

That sounds like a threat.

She was concerned in 2012 that Kavanaugh might be elevated to the Supreme Court. Why didn't she say anything during his circuit judgeship hearing?

That’s assuming she’s a pathological liar/sociopath/literally delusional.

Please read through the thread of real people’s experiences to understand some of the reasons why.

I'm fascinated that there are people willing to spend time poking holes into someone's sexual assault story. Living your best life, huh?

Motivation. She’s a Democrat very much against the Trump administration.
As Schumer has said.... “whatever it takes.”

You mean as McConnell said, “we’re gonna make sure he’s a one#term president.”

Because the GOP has known about this since the summer. Not really a secret to their operatives.

In these times, sadly, people only believe what furthers their political beliefs.

Ask the Duke lacrosse team.

Ask the millions of rape victims who carry it quietly forever.
