Don't know where else to post this, but wanted to share my thoughts on the Queen and Meghan's relationship. You know what I love about the Queen? She exudes class - she's not a spoiled PITA tasteless MIL who thinks she is somehow "above" the new DIL. She his not the petulant child MIL that you hear about when you learn about MIL's who all but stomp their foot and say "I just don't like the girl! WHAAAAAAAA!" LOL. She seems rather welcoming and seems delighted to welcome Meghan into the family and to be showing Meghan the ropes. I know run of the mill MILs who couldn't stoop to being normal, and here is the Queen, doing the right thing. Says a lot about her - my God, at least she has some common sense. If anyone could "get away with" being judgy, persnickety, snippy, control freak, rude and such - it is the Queen, but she is not, she seems normal and actually warm. Kudos to her for knowing better, and acting like well, a true Queen - with class (not some dumpy, cold, podunk byotch). I mean, Megan could have been anyone, and the Queen didn't have to be nice, but she is.

Heck I wish my MIL was more like QE as welcoming as she has been. My mil is 15 years younger than QE and I am convinced she doesn't even know my name half the time (she has other dils she has known a lot longer) and these 2 are taking road trips and doing engagement together and QE seems to really like her dog!

True but I would say what is different now is that the queen is in her 90s and now realizes so much of the crap she was thought earth shattering

Or realized what a pr nightmare it was to dislike the commoner new wife. Better to put on a happy smile and welcome the new wife rather than have another pr nightmare.
