For these formal occasions they will dress in a very narrow range of clothing that practically no one else wears. Haven't you ever noticed that no one ever dresses like the Queen? Not even other elderly people?

The Queen, Camilla and Kate are all wearing the same color because they are queens or future queens.

Meghan is not a future queen.

That's why she's standing in the back behind Kate whose ginormous hat hides her in several shots.

Her name is Savannah Phillips. She's the daughter of Peter and Autumn Phillips. Peter's mother is Princess Anne, the Queen's only daughter.

I think she looks beautiful and a little less formal than others with her hair down. I don't mind her dress, the color looks lovely on her.

As for personal style, she signed up for this role and all the rules and traditions that come with it. She knew what she was getting into and she can't just wear or do whatever she wants.
