Trump to widow of Sgt. La David Johnson: 'He knew what he signed up for'

Is that idiot democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson changing her story? I just heard two audio clips of her and it sounds like she's backtracking now.

Both Johnson's widow and mother confirmed what Rep Wilson said. No one has corroborated Trump's "story".

Trump just gave an incredible speech at the Heritage Foundation and you wont hear a word about it. US army just had a major, MAJOR victory in Syria and you wont hear about that as well. I am wondering if media purposely creating this to distract from the real news.

Maybe if Trump kept his mouth shut we wouldn't have such distractions.

Trump just gave an incredible speech at the Heritage Foundation (opinion, and probably demonstrably wrong) and you wont hear a word about it (liberals tend to read more news better sources, so we probably will). US army just had a major, MAJOR victory in Syria (great. That has nothing to do with Trump, though. If he's never at fault, then he should never get credit) and you wont hear about that as well (actually, knowing what I know about conservatives' ability to stretch the truth like taffy, the major, MAJOR victory was probably mostly the Brits or the Germans or something). I am wondering if media purposely creating this to distract from the real news (heads up: the CIC* being a cruel moron dick is real news).

Yeah....

So, has anyone asked why there are US troops in Niger? What the mission is? Why we lost 4 American heroes?

Well I just googled and the hits in order were: PBS News Hour, CNBC, CNN, then Politico.

As for Syria, you are suddenly excited about one city in an effort that has been going on for years. Seems odd. If you need a refresher on the campaign, this interactive map will remind you of all the other victories along the way: https://isis.liveuamap.com/en/time/05.01.2017

I’d like to know more about this. Will be googling because I’ve barely seen headlines (maybe a week ago, and then today with the phone call information).

Trump was simply praising the soldier for his bravery and did't realize that it would be interpreted in a different way. Ask yourself, have you ever been in a situation like this?

He is insensitive, but so what? Presidents are not perfect; they are human.

Even if Trump didn’t forget the soldier’s name and didn’t say “this is what he signed up for,” the classy thing to do would be to say “I’m so sorry my words came out wrong, that’s not what I meant to convey and I’m still terribly sorry for this family’s loss .”
Instead he calls the three people in the limo liars.
I believe them. I don’t believe trump. Lordy, I hope there are tapes.

This all day, but he has no concept of class.

My guess is oil and gas interests. They have pirates that threaten US corporate interests and local militias that do, too.

I'm sure you would be saying this exact same thing had it been Obama.
