Even that wouldn't save things. That's because the rest of the world looked behind the curtain and saw all the vulnerabilities in our democracy. Our supposedly stable political system with checks and balances has been exposed as a mirage. They will never trust us again, regardless of who is in office. How can they trust a country in which a portion of the population voted for the likes of Trump three times!
