Part of me wonders whether folks within the agency are intentionally providing him with misinformation as a form of silent protest against his leadership. Every single time he gets in front of the camera, he makes a fool of himself. Also, why does he overdress in FBI gear for the cameras? He dresses as if he just came off a crime scene, investigating something. The fact that his thoughts are clearly on what he will wear to look "FBI" for the cameras ought to communicate how unserious he is and that it's all for show.

Why are so many Americans on the left and right recently such crazy conspiracy theorists wrt politics shaping everything ? So desperate to blame the other party that they will stretch and bend any evidence into an absurd meaning/justification. afghan guy shoots soldiers in military uniform. That’s not the fault of trump or ICE or progressive dems or Biden. It’s just a terrorist who hates the US more than we even hate ourselves. Not everything has to have a left/right political spin or even solution, frankly. We fought multiple wars against Muslim extremists after 9/11 and they accomplished nothing. We allow far more religious tolerance and immigration than any Muslim country does but it did not prevent this. We can’t always blame each other like bickering children.

It's definitely partly driven by media. I am with my MIL, and when we heard about the shooting, she immediately said to me "who do you think did it? Do you think it was MAGA militia?" DH and I live in DC. I was like "it was probably some person with mental health issues who is just randomly angry and not focused on politics. or a criminal who got caught committing a crime and shot them to try and get away." She was convinced it had to be some conspiracy. I could not convince her that sometime people get shot and there is no rhyme or reason to it, it's just angry, unstable people with guns most of the time, and nothing bigger than that. It's not organized.

She watches cable news incessantly and reads nothing but the op-ed pages of the newspaper. It's so unhealthy.

Yeah we should eliminate those triggers. Maybe those trillions in our tax dollars can be spent on making sure we don’t have a freaking nurse shortage because that’s not longer considered a professional job by the US government.

We are going to be worse than Afghanistan in public health and by global standards if we continue to spend on wars after wars to “kill” (actually create) terrorists.

This shooter lived his whole life in a war zone from 2001-2021. The Taliban was elected by the people and stole US equipment from the army

I will never understand those naive people who actually believe every human is a good person. Truth is, some humans are absolutely rotten eggs, and there are more located in certain countries than others. Yes, we can vet people but that only goes so far when there's no previous history, and then nobody can predict the future with certainty. I'm not saying we don't have our own rotten eggs, but we absolutely don't need to bring even more here. Like it or not, this is exactly why Trump won.
