What is your DMV specific “sin” that would get you a scarlet letter?

I think the world would be better if Asians stayed in Asia and made their countries better, rather than coming here to change ours. Asian countries would benefit from having these smart people innovate in place. Maybe they would develop clean energy and push it across to the rest of the world (knowing the US would be the last adopters). This would help solve climate change.

We don’t want you in our party.

Democrat and I disagree. We need to limit immigration. You are blind if you do not see what is going on. Major areas of industry are being taken over by people who will not hire anyone but those from their country of origin. They are pushing us into an era of unbridled sexism and racism

It would be a sin to sneer at calling it the DMV.

You must be a transplant.

WTF are you talking? "DMV "surfaced in the last 5 years. Before that, it was where you registered your car. Dc id DC. I'm born and bred Fairfax and no local would ever use that term. Unless they were black.

Uhm. I'm black and my kids are the 4th gen to be born in DC. I never heard that phrase until DCUM.

I think ppl from pg county call it that.. maybe??? I was born and raised here & didn't start hearing it until the 2000s. and I listened to plenty of wpgc and kiss fm (now that was the real sin, it was for old people )

People were referring to the dmv back in the 1980s. Some of you just don't get out enough.

That's normal in DC.

and I'm not referring to people in pg. I 've lived in Fairfax forever and it was used by everyone.

There is only one dive bar in DC and that's the Player's Lounge.

I’d guarantee 99% of posters here wouldn’t even know where PL is without a web search.

Triple bonus points if you know it’s *previous* location, too.

Did not know it had changed locations (though I would argue that Tune Inn and the original Stoney’s also qualify).

I don't even know the set pieces pp listed, but the last dive bars I frequented in DC were ACME (when it was at 18th and M) and Tune Inn to hear Pete Papageorge.

I live in Maryland and I willingly went to Virginia.

Sorry but it would only be a sin if you did like going there.
