They really took every opportunity to alienate as many voters as they could. |

WSJ:
“The Supreme Court will allow Texas to use a congressional map that adds as many as five Republican seats for next year’s midterm elections, boosting the GOP’s chances of retaining control of the House of Representatives. The justices on Thursday set aside a lower court decision from last month that had blocked the new electoral lines and ordered Texas to use its existing ones. The lower court found that the new map was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, but the Supreme Court said that decision appeared to be wrong.” |

The Texas map is reinstated. The activist judges take yet another loss at the Supreme Court. |
| This is not a surprise from the worst SCOTUS sense the Taney Court. It reeks with corruption. |
Be careful what you wish for MAGA. |
Fix it for you. |
Literally. FAFO when they notice that they can't mass deport citizens despite their efforts. |
FWIW they noted in this decision that the California redistricting will likely stand also. |
| The irony is that the 12 point shift left in the other elections, if it holds in Texas, will not turn these seats red. |
Not a surprise at all. SCOTUS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Party. |
+1 All this topographical chicanery may very well backfire on the GOP. |
Dream on baby. Bonus result is that Jasmine Crockett will be relegated to a contributor on MSNow. |
The new maps were made by spreading Latino voters across more districts, with the presumption that those voters would swing toward Republicans the same way they did in 2024. But all polling now shows those voters have some of the biggest swings AWAY from the GOP. If you have some contrary data on this point, feel free to share it. |
The judge who deemed this a racial gerrymandering is a Trump appointee. |
