The not my President stuff began with Bush’s presidency. It was the beginning of the end. I stand by pre-2000 being the point when the presidency declined. Bush and Obama were better than the last two we've had but Bush and Obama did not improve the state of the union. The country became very divided and by the end of Obama’s time in office, half the country just wants to burn it all down and start over.
