In the past one could say that girls ECNL was better than GA and that MLSN was better than boys ECNL… This alliance now makes GA/MLSN = ECNL…possibly better if it becomes the only path to the pros.. you see there… You can no longer just compare ECNL to GA. You will have to compare ECNL to the Alliance |
The main path to NWSL for youth players has been ECNL. Hard to see that changing anytime soon. MLSNext is a boys league |
This is the funniest post I've seen in a while. Spit out my drink when I read it. Thanks for that. |

SYC is the only local team that has MSL Next and GA. What does that really mean? While on the surface it sounds great for SYC marketing department. If we look further into it, could this be a sign of trouble. SYC girls have always been weak while the boys have been stronger.
No other team in the area cares for GA. SYC is currently looking to see how much to increase their league fee since they are so 'elite' and is the 'only' only who has MSL Next and GA. |
No, the main path to NWSL has been college. ECNL is the main path to college. There is no special link between ECNL and NWSL. I think that's the open space here to provide an alternative path to NWSL that isn't just college. |
I’m sorry but this is SYCs 1st year in GA. The kids that were part of the McLean/SYC ECNL probably stayed in ECNL. Focus is on 2012 and the years to come. |
Correctomundo. And those that don’t go to NWSL still go to college |
|
More like they happened to offer good leagues to their teams. They were able to get out of a sticky situation with Mclean, and now they are in a much better position. |
What are you going on about? |
Hahaha. Says ECNL dad. |
|
He’s an idiot. IMO Clubs would lose more giving up MLS Next for ECNL than Giving up ECNL for GA. GA still puts plenty of kids in college. And if these ECNL clubs say they are much better than GA clubs, then they should have no problem getting into champions cup and playoffs. |
You can’t read. PP said YOUTH players. |
Who won’t have trouble getting into champions cup and playoffs? |
