Donate, vote and get others to vote. If it was going to happen, it was always going to be this weekend, after the GOP had locked Trump in as their candidate. |
I laughed so hard… |
No, this is what being bullied by a mob of powerful people looks like. |
Actually Jimmy Carter is a decent person so that is not a insult you think it is troll |
Are you kidding me? We are supposed to feel grateful that Trump didn’t select one of his own sons as VP? Did I read that correctly? |
She was smart enough to become the candidate of the most popular party in the US to become president. I would say she is doing pretty well for herself. |
This! He's been in his basement with "covid" under high pressure for a while now to drop out. Not sure how they even convinced Jill. |
I think so too, unfortunately. And I like her. But we live in a very hyper political area, and it's not reflective of much of the nation. I bet a bunch of Dem voters can't even name the current Vice President. Sadly. |
I'm sure there are others you can convince to be outraged about this. I think it's fine and he's made the right decision to decline the nomination. |
+1. He ran as a one term, bridge to a younger generation POTUS. That was the promise. Like Pelosi did when she was speaker. She got the AOCs to vote for her by promising one term, then a handover to. Someone like Jefferies. Difference is Pelosi actually stepped down after her term was over as promised. And Biden didn’t. And as a Gen X Dem, that did make me angry. He was over 80 and still couldn’t let go. Like RBG. And like so many of Gen X’s parents, who say they will quit driving when they turn 80, or when it’s no longer safe. And then an accident happens that is 100% their fault and almost certainly caused by their slow reaction time or failing hearing and vision or whatever. And thank God no one was actually hurt. But, the parent is still grasping the license insisting it could have happened to anyone and driving is still safe. And you get that it’s a loss of pride and independence and feel bad, but reality is people get older and frailer and can’t do at 80 what they could at 50. No one is exempt from aging. And at a certain point, everyone who lives long enough starts a slow decline. As a voter, I felt like he had made and broken a one term promise. And I’m glad he’s stepping aside, because if he won’t let go at 80 or 81, do we think he would at 83 or 84, midterm with obvious physical or mental issues? I don’t. He could have been worse than Reagan and hanging on. Same goes for Trump, BTW. But wow! I wish he had kept this promise a year ago, so we could have had a real primary. He earned a lot of respect in my mind for cleaning up after Trump and getting us moving again after COVID. But also lost respect when he announced reelection. I had thought he had the character to follow through with his promises. |
The young woman who was complicit in hiding that her boss, the president, was not physically or mentally healthy enough to do his job. She has been lying to America for 3+ years. She will suddenly be absolutely truthful with Americans starting today, right? |
I thought Kamala is the only candidate that can access the existing campaign funds. I could be wrong. |
+1 I think he did the right thing. He put aside his ego and did what is right for the country. Never really liked him, but my respect him just went up. |
Hmmm, that’s strange, she was Indian some years back. |
