Women half-naked in pseudo workout gear shopping at Whole Foods?

The Vienna one is boring

Annapolis one was mentioned a couple of times. This is a pretty common outfit there.

To be fair, this thread has avoided that point. Those dressing like they're coming from/going to the gym, hot yoga or a big run who don't actually work out.

I'm at the gym a lot. These women walk around in these outfits, do a stair climber, very slowly often kicking one leg out behind them to draw attention. Then they fix their hair, lift some baby weights, fix their hair again, call it a day then leave the gym. They aren't really there to work out. Pretty sure none of them break a sweat. Then I guess off to Whole Foods.

Stopping to take big swigs of water from their insulated bottle after the such physical demand.

I’m told it’s called “active wear” and young women with those work from home email fake jobs wear it 7 days a week.

I call them butthole pants.

I didn't know these existed until this thread!!

same! had to look this up and I can tell you...no amount of fitness nor money could warrant me ever wearing these out in public. In fact, I'll consider it a public service that I will never.

It’s actually often much worse than those. Often cut off at the butt cheek. And the top is often a narrow bra / tube top with their boobs pouring out. Very weird and thirsty behavior. Honestly, I assume any young lady dressed like this in public is mentally ill and literally selling herself to (old) men.

On Amazon some video popped up with someone touting 3-4 products you could get during Prime Days and one of the items were shorts like these. No, no, no, no unless you are in the comfort of your home. These should not be worn out in public. I'll say the same thing about the form fitting dresses that end right under the butt cheeks. You can't even call them miniskirts b/c at least mini skirts ensure you aren't flashing anyone. When it's the same length or shorter than the outfit Julia Roberts wears in Pretty Woman (with the ring connecting the top to the skirt), then it's too short.

Their days consist of them filming themselves at a gym pretending to work out. Then a coffee or Whole Foods run. Repeat.

Europe has the right idea. These lewd women need to be fined.

I thought Europe was supposed to be all free and body positive and all?

20 pages and the very first response had it right.

BUT. What smart women know is that what they wear and how they carry themselves is a signal of their class, and people pick up on this either consciously or subconsciously.

I was always told to dress for the life and job I want. I know that going out in public in ruched butt leggings will turn a lot of heads. But not the right kind of heads. I knew I wanted an upper class life style, husband, career, and on the whole, this requires a certain look. It’s not about how much money you spend on clothing. I could go to Walmart and put together a classy outfit. Women need to be more perceptive about this. You can’t dress like a tramp and then wonder to all your followers on social media why you can’t find a man to respect you these days. Look the part, act the part, win the prize.

And BTW, I’m a Democrat and atheist, FWIW.

Exactly. It's a trashy look to wear underwear in public. However, no one is saying we should be policing women's bodies -- we have a right to judge each other. That's part of being human.

What is it that makes "classy" women think it's okay to label other women as trashy or tramps? You may have such amazing liberal creds, but you're still just a misogynist.

Give me a break. Unless you are blind, you make judgements based on what people look like -- just like the rest of us do.

Give me a break. There's a big difference in judging something inappropriate and labeling it "trashy" or worse..."trampy." We can dislike a look without using sexist terms. And also, see the fat shaming nasty above...she points out to her daughter the was in other people's bodies?!

No wonder so many of you are so needlessly hateful.

Look, if you insist on going out in public in your underwear, you should know what people around you are thinking.

I wear a sports bra and leggings to exercise in (and sometimes go to Whole Foods on my way home). What exactly do you propose we wear?

So you go the grocery store in your bra? How bizarre.

Yeah, I do. I also walk around to other places, like CVS and TJMaxx and the post office in my sports bra! It’s great! You should try it sometime.

It doesn’t surprise me you shop at CVS and TJMaxx.

What's wrong with CVS? Where are you buying your cough syrup? Hermès?
