Official Trump VP thread

Trump can get retribution and jail Hillary, Jack Smith, Merrick Garland to teach a lesson and balance the scales.

Then Youngkin can get the country back to normal

Me again. I posted earlier but couldn’t find this thread because I was multitasking. I think my post was deleted (and rightly so).

The thread was locked.

If it’s Youngkin, I think it’s a good political move. Had Trump done terribly at the debate, then choosing Youngkin today changes the narrative in the MSM. But since Trump did well, not it solidifies momentum. Nice strategy.

Youngkin also appeals to the normie country club Republicans who are turned off by Trump. VA is still a swing’y state. Youngkin appeals to Wall Street types. Nothing changes politically in the Senate or House for GOP, and Winsom Sears takes over as Governor.

It’s a logical choice. So surprised no one was taking getting odds on Youngkin.

I'm a Dem who said this very thing a few days ago. If he's on the ticket, I predict many NeverTrumpers will vote, even if they'd planning on voting for Biden. Everyone's looking to the VP candidate because the odds of them lasting in office for 4.5 years is very low. They will 100% vote Youngkin over Kamala.

Add to this that Youngkin has been pretty mild as governor. It's a good move by Trump if true.

Youngkin would debate circles around Kamala too.

Not sure that NeverTrumpers will forget that Trump tried to stage a coup. But who knows.

Prove me wrong.

All the people listed so far are conventionally attractive.

Trump doesn't like overweight people, especially women.

He also wants people to look the part like he thinks they look on tv or the movies. He would never think a dark-skinned person looks the part of VP.

How do you know so much about Donald Trump? Have you worked with him or something?

It’s going to be Rubio.

The end justifies the means. Many of them are thrilled with the current SC. Plus, they're gambling that Trump will eat one too many hamburgers.

They hate each other

Who ever it is, that person most likely is going to be the 48th president of the US.

Trump just turned 78. Not looking good that he makes it 4 1/2 more years.

Looking at Trump's family history both of his brothers have already passed away.
His younger brother, Robert Trump, died at August 15, 2020, at age 71. Another brother died at age 42 (battled with alcoholism).

No they don't.

Most likely picks:

Doug Burgum
Marco Rubio
Tim Scott

Vivek, JD Vance, Byron Donalds are likely cabinet officials

Heh Youngkin probably has some thoughts about this line, said right in front of him

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/29/us/politics/trump-youngkin-virginia-rally.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

“Many people are saying that after last night’s performance, Joe Biden is leaving the race,” he said from the stage, followed by scattered, seemingly confused applause. “The fact is, I don’t really believe that,” he continued, “because he does better in the polls than any of the Democrats they’re talking about. You’ve seen that, Glenn?”

Mr. Trump spent the next few minutes explaining to his followers why the alternatives to Mr. Biden are actually weaker. He said that Gov. Gavin Newsom “can’t run California,” and the crowd booed. He mentioned Vice President Kamala Harris and the crowd booed louder. “It might’ve been Joe Biden’s single best decision, putting her vice president, because nobody wants that. I’d be very happy with that.”

So the Republican ticket will be two white men again? I don’t think that will help with women/minority voters. If you’re a young female Latino voter, for instance, what appeal does Glenn Youngkin have?

He almost banned pronouns from being taught at schools. so he did a lot

That's not a big deal and I support it to not confuse the kids. If someone is feeling gender fluid then they can use whatever they want.
