2024 Girls Lax WCAC ISL Outlook

I respect SJC for keeping this quiet until the 8th graders had all accepted their offers of admission. Well done.

Keeping things quiet? If you did your research, went on a shadow day, saw a game or two and talked to literally ANYONE who knows about SJC you would have heard the same info.

These same things were said last year too. This team is carried by the 2024s and there is nothing to show that after this year they have any quality in replacing them.

Are any parents happy with the coach of their team?

All you have to do is look and see what schools girls are transferring into not out of. There are certain cultures at certain schools based on the coaches, girls and families.

For those of us that can’t read into this and figure it out for ourselves can you politely share some info about programs that lose girls? I have a DD applying to high schools soon and would like to know what she might be signing up for. Not all parents understandably want to be openly critical of their programs so it’s not as easy to find this out on your own.

Recently, kids have transferred into GC, SR, BI and out of SR, Potomac, and some publics. That's not all obviously.

You really have to watch games and how the coaches operate, particularly in tough games. Some coaches offer you to come join and watch a practice.

Kids are transferring into Potomac for the second year in a row, and also into SJC. Lots of reasons to transfer. I wouldn't suggest there is a sending group and a receiving group.

No one has transferred into SJC.

I wouldn’t read too much into this. I suspect these transfers are all unique cases and in no way suggest any larger trend toward/against a particular school.
