Assume they were implying maybe UVA should recruit some of the top VA/Capital girls given they lost their top player. I would agree. |

UVA’s recruiting under the previous coach was tilted heavily towards out of state private school players. Numerous public school standouts couldn’t even get the coaches to look at their video or respond to emails. Hopefully, the new regime will be better. |

These are 2025s, they would be freshman in 2026 season, when likely 3/4 of the 2023 team are gone anyways, nearly every team leading scorer in 2023 will be gone by then. |

Of UVA's current 31-player roster nearly 20 are from public schools. Two of UVA's five in-state players are from VA public schools. No top 20 contender (short of UMD possibly for obvious reasons) sources the majority of players from public schools in their home state. Player skill, rather than a misperceived anti-public school bias, better explains why someone didn't get any UVA love. |
