I have always liked the exH and never understood why he dated or married her. I don’t know if it was her father’s law connections or what. the ex is a nice guy, good looking, smart, maybe a bit goofy but he never had problem getting dates. Remains a big mystery to a lot of us.

Eleanor has always been like her parents. Rude and mean. She seemed to be mainstream, have friends, run with the popular kids in a way that money buys. Nothing really stands out as abnormal until she got arrested a few years ago which the article touches on. From what I have heard, while she was still married she got caught having sex in a public park with some random guy which produced the “unlawful dressing” charge in Chesterfield, which is south of Richmond and not near Charlottesville. It’s a really weird story, but I believe this is what caused the divorce. The rumor being pushed through is that she has severe mental health issues but IMO that in no way excuses any of what she’s done. She should never get out of prison.

That's the second time someone has posted that in this thread. My coworker was caught by an undercover FBI sting very similar to this, with an alleged dad with a 10yo girl (I think it was 10; it has been a while since I read the complaint). He did not go to the meetup but they had him under surveillance and got him on the child porn he'd sent to the undercover agent, some of which involved children as young as 4. He was sentenced to 5 years and got out in less than that. He wasn't killed in prison.

People post that thing about molesters being most hated and killed in prison as if they actually know what they are talking about. If you look at sex offender lists there are plenty of people who made it through prison.

Obviously this is not the norm, but often people who are trying to deny an urge or desire that they think is wrong cope by outwardly advocating against it. There are so many examples of religious and conservative men who not only condemn homosexuality or promiscuity, but have actually made it their life’s work to condemn it. Larry Craig, Jerry Falwell jr, robert bauman, George Rekers (my personal favorite story), Roy ashburn, bob Allen, mark foley (remember this guy?), Phillip hinkle, ted haggard, Matt Schlapp. The crazy thing was the ones just wanted a rendezvous with adult men had to build a life of lies to do this. No one should give an F if old man are attracted to 20-30 year old adult men.

I won’t pretend to understand the psychology behind it.

If you google "VA court case info" it will give you a data base where you can look up most VA court cases. Go to "Circuit court" and Albermarle county to look up her previous and current cases.
You can also search the General court cases for all of VA

It's pretty interesting-you can look up other people you know in VA too.
