It’s like he grasps little pieces of the information he is presented with, but lacks the cognitive focus to understand it. Like the “doctored” picture was him as a “doctor..”. When he speaks it’s kind of a little game to trace what he said back to its initial kernel of truth—like a sad, dangerous game of Operator. |

I don't think he'd pass another Montreal cognitive test. This is something his close aides know, and that's why they're doing to delay the physical until they can pressure his doctors to modify his exams. |

There's no purpose to the leaks. The leaks are coming because Trump's circle is now in full on dementia-control mode and leaks are inevitable in that situation. The war with Iran has revealed a lot of dementia symptoms that could have been kept under wraps otherwise, because wartime decisions and their consequences on oil prices, etc, perforce receive a lot of attention. |

DP - I generally agree that his cognitive symptoms becoming very evident are probably a large part of it. I think there are also other factors at play: -May 1 is the legal deadline for the war powers act. Legally, Trump is constrained from continuing the war after that point. A 30 day extension to wind down operations would allow some leeway, but not offensive operations. While I don't think we are ever going to be lucky enough to see Donald Trump in a jail cell, there are a lot of other people that don't have his ability to operate outside the law. Military commanders are going to start sweating whether they can actually follow the Commander In Chief's orders after May 1. -The military is a $h!tshow. They literally fired the Secretary of the Navy - like today. While we are blockading Iran. The Acting Secretary is Virginia's own Hung Cao. They fired the Army Chief of Staff last month, and have fired numerous other officials in the past year. I think it's highly likely that the military is getting nervous that it's being run by people who actually don't care about the troops, but are instead obsessed with alpha male crap. -The GOP is in freefall the longer the Iran war drags on. And it's becoming very clear that we are losing and have lost control of the Strait of Hormuz. This is already a global issue and will only continue to get worse. -Much like Biden, people are starting to wake up. At some point people will start to wonder if the lunatic act is really an act. |
