Why is Blake Lively so overrated?

She expected Justin to capitulate quickly with her pr campaign concerning the complaint, particularly with The NY Times article. I would not be at all surprised if there is no evidence to support iher claims because she thought a few texts and emails taken out of context would get it done. There was no legal reason for her not naming witnesses to the alleged behavior in the complaint. She isn’t required to, but it would have made it much stronger.

Uh, I don't think so. She can bring those witnesses forward at any point. Some of them may be reluctant, so leaving them anonymous now might spare them having to be deposed or testify if there is a settlement before it gets that far. Discovery hasn't started yet.

Also I think it's funny when people talk about the legal or PR strategy like Blake Lively is somewhere directing people on what to do. She has hired attorneys and she and Ryan have a PR team. Lively is very likely barely involved in the day to day of this.

Also the speculation around Anna Kendrick is funny because she and Lively have a movie coming out together this year (sequel to A Simple Plan). Not sure of release date but I'm guessing Lively will be doing press and probably the biggest issue they are dealing with is how to promote that movie while dealing with the ongoing Baldoni saga. I guarantee Lively is way more involved in the PR discussions around that than anything related to the legal strategy of the lawsuit, which she has paid people to keep far, far away from her.

The movie is going to straight to streaming on prime. It’s not a theatrical release. I’m sure there will be some press but it will be pretty contained.

The movie was released in theaters LAST YEAR.

I’m talking about the movie she’s making with Anna Kendrick. The original, a simple favor, was released in theaters in 2018. They made a sequel last year and it will go on streaming later this year on prime.

I don't think they were good. This is not a great start, "That was never my experience with Harvey in any way whatsoever, and I think that if people heard these stories … I do believe in humanity enough to think that this wouldn’t have just continued,” she tells THR. “I never heard any stories like this — I never heard anything specific — but it’s devastating to hear.”

This is pretty disingenuous. I'm a nobody and knew he was king of the casting couch. Maybe people didn't know he was raping these women, but everyone knew actresses were having sex with him for roles and this comment almost appears to shift the blame to everyone else or to the women for not speaking out about it earlier, even though several did. Coupled with pictures of the two of them emerging rumpled and elusive from hotels and her trailer, it's not a good look.

+1 Her comments were anything but good. It was clear that she had consensual sex with Harvey after that.

Link to the pics or let it go.

They're mostly scrubbed. This one is still around.

How convenient. Mostly scrubbed.

Anyone with half decent PR would do the same. It's standard.

I don’t really care if Blake slept with Harvey Weinstein or not, he is total scum of the Earth and it has nothing to do with anything. But absolutely these pictures get scrubbed. Blake was part of the huge celebrity photo leak of nude photos of her, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate upon and several other famous stars. A lot has been scrubbed.

The whole incident is called the fappening and you can google it.

Anonymous wrote:This is the actual allegation about Baldoni from Lively's complaint. It's more involved than him just saying she looked sexy:

"60. On another day, Ms. Lively wore a low-cut dress to facilitate breast feeding, but had it covered up with a coat. When the jacket briefly popped open at one point to reveal the dress, Mr. Baldoni commented about how much he liked her outfit, which flustered Ms. Lively. Later that day, Mr. Baldoni pressured Ms. Lively (who was in her pre-approved wardrobe) to remove her coat in front of the crew and multiple background actors in a packed bar. He said that he wanted to see her “onesie” under the coat because it was zipped low to reveal her lace bra. Consistent with past practice, he said, “I think you look sexy” in a tone that made her feel ogled and exposed. With other female cast members present, she said, “that’s not what I’m going for.” He bristled and replied, “I’m sorry, hot.” Deeply uncomfortable, Ms. Lively said, “not that either.” Mr. Baldoni, responded sarcastically, “I guess I missed the HR meeting,” and walked away. Another woman on the production spoke to Ms. Lively afterward to offer empathy and to share her own similar experiences with Mr. Baldoni commenting about her in sexual terms."

There's so much of this I don't understand. Why were they in a packed bar? How does exposing your bra strap facilitate breast feeding? What the hell is a onsie, it's described as a dress? How does a jacket pop open? Whomever said this Complaint is well written is on drugs.

I don't know why they were in a packed bar, but I can answer the rest of your questions by reading the text.

Her bra strap was not exposed (in fact the words "bra strap" do not appear). She was wearing a lowcut dress (meaning a low neckline) which facilitates breastfeeding because you can pull the dress down to feed your baby.

The "onesie" is not described as a dress. The paragraph clearly states this was a second outfit, a costume for her character. She was wearing the dress earlier.

A onesie refers to an article of clothing that covers your entire torso. Like a bathing suit, but to be work under a skirt or pants. They are currently very common in fashion.

A jacket pops open if one of the buttons comes undone. This is more likely to happen if the jackets is right across the chest, something that can happen to a woman who is breastfeeding more frequently because your chest size fluctuates when you are nursing.

The person who wrote this was clearly not on drugs, but you need lessons in reading comprehension and fashion basics. Sorry this was too technical for you.

I can add some more here since I saw the movie. This is scene in the movie, the packed bar was a set. There is a scene where Blake and Justin’s character and others meet in a crowded bar after it was like onesie night at the ball park or whatever.

So this was clearly part of the set and filming a scene. I guess my question is this him trying to make the character Lily, appear more sexy? Because that would be in his purview.

They want the character of Lily want to be pretty and sexy. They were going for a certain look. There were prior texts that he and Blake were discussing an outfit and Blake wanted to make it sexier. So if he was talking about being hot and sexy in the context of her character, I wouldn’t classify that as harassment. If he was just being weird to Blake, yeah that’s not great.

It certainly seems the latter, but what is throwing me is that they were clearly filming a scene here. I guess the other people on the set could corroborate one way or the other.

The HR comment makes it seem like he didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. But maybe he’s just that clueless.

Justin Baldoni is cooked but let's deflect by talking about the former sex life of a married mother of 4. Such a tired tactic.

The fappening photos are still easily available, not scrubbed

And either way, work in PR or not, the assumption is still coming from photos. And also does not matter in this case. You would not be dissecting the history of a male actor the same and you know it.

I don’t know why anyone is arguing about her being a Weinstein girl. It is very clear her career got a boost after GG for no logical or explainable reason. She is a mediocre talent and average beauty by Hollywood standards (especially before the tweaks) yet rose to A-list status without any headlining or noteworthy roles. It always boggled my mind.

She owes a lot of that to who her husband is, like Jennifer Aniston. But some people just can't handle it and keep trying to tear her down.
