That age group plays 9 v 9...

And they still won with only nine kids and no subs, That’s elite!

It was a 0-0 draw. Not sure what that says about VSA.

Also, what's the point of a college showcase if you're in the 4th division? Are any coaches really watching a 4th division game? Now that is great marketing.

Did you see the list of college coaches lol

Does anyone know when they will
Announce the coaches for next year? I loathe my child's current coach and we will leave if he moves up with them, but might stay if the coach changes.

They were quite late with it last year. I expect no different this year.

It was maybe a week or two before tryouts last year. Only the top one or two teams per age group had coaches advertised.
For the 3rd-5th teams, kids got team offers in spring and were expected to commit with no coach hired. Eventually-months later-like in August--Valor scrounged up some parent coaches and inexperienced coaches for those lower teams. Surprise!

Found this interesting if true. The VIVA 2010 boys are excellent so assume they take over that team.

Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC), Virginia Valor Football Club (Valor), Villarreal Virginia Academy (VIVA), and Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS) will share equal governance of Fairfax Virginia Union.

These partnerships are just silly. There is nothing preventing a U12 kid from any club in the country in trying out for FVU (or any other ECNL/GA club) at U13 and completely pass over the ADP sessions used to try and get a head start on who is worthy. If my kid is from one of these clubs do I get a discount? No. The only thing we might get is the chance to pay for uniforms each summer for USL-youth.

People will always find the shiny badge.

unless the kid is elite they will be in back of line. The coaches talk behind scenes to promote their clubs kids.

Nonsense, Valor couldn't get kids on NVA teams.

Was that due to lack of talent on Valor teams, or at least partly because Loudoun and favored their own? GFR left the alliance before Valor did. It seems like they were fed up with the way Loudoun was doing things.
