Trump’s Dementia

"Now, fresh from a week in which he skirmished with the pope and Christians accused him of blasphemy, Mr. Trump will participate in a marathon reading of the entire Bible in Washington, the event’s organizers announced Friday. The event’s leader, a conservative activist who once ran for Congress in Texas, has described it as “a national reading of God’s law.”"

Bets on how long it takes for him to fall asleep?

I absolutely want to see this and see how long it takes him to forget to keep reading and go on about himself. I also hope they give him a passage about a character like him (Herod?) or else the one from Isaiah about what happens to evil rulers.

Again, his segment will be RECORDED. Trump is not a good reader. People who have worked with him say that he can hardly read at all.

Not only is he not a good reader, but he flips out publicly when he encounters words or terms in the script that he is unfamiliar with or can't pronounce. The latest example is questioning the term "corner store." I guarantee he will get right off course and go into one of his tantrums or bizarre riffs on favorite topics like windmills, etc.

Except he won't because it will be edited out. It will not be live.

I’m starting to see a tiny uptick in articles in the mainstream media about Trump’s deteriorating state of mind. There was one last week in the New York Times and now this one in USA Today.

That's most likely why he kept saying Tylenol months ago, he couldn't read "acetaminophen." Maybe his speechwriters just dropped in the Tylenol logo because he has tantrums when he can't read a multisyllabic word and someone on staff makes the mistake of writing above the third-grade level. And even if he can read well, he won't wear glasses.

I believe I opined a few pages back when people were complaining about how the media wasn't covering this enough that folks needed to remember that the Biden coverage didn't really start until Democrats started whispering and that any Trump coverage would need a similar jumping off point. The line in this USA Today piece about the chatter now being from beyond "the usual liberal suspects" gives away the game--the legacy media just won't cover stuff this touchy until it's more than just "the other team" raising questions.

It could not have come at a worse time: right before the election. According to the Media Bias Group study (University of Pennsylvania) the NYT published 293 articles focused on Biden’s age compared to only 27 articles focused on "Project 2025"—a ratio of nearly 11 to 1 from January 2024, through the 2024 election.

They better start doing polls like they did with Biden. Remember? They covered the age issue excessively, then conducted polls asking voters if they were worried about the age issue...

I wonder when his mental deterioration will get to the point that he can't be seen in public? Will we just get an AI version of Trump recorded all the time?

This crazy "bible reading" is probably not him at all.

He can't read. He doesn't read, and his dementia has exacerbated all his deficiencies.

When will the GOP say ENOUGH!! 25A him!!!!

While he gets ejected from national security meetings for being too uncontrollable like the WSJ reported.

But getting a steady diet of snuff films to keep him occupied.
