I'm not the person who posted that but I've been very active in this thread and I'm bored. Everyone discussed in this thread is a total has been and I don't think there's much more to say.

I wonder if Peter is going to "re-invent" himself after his iHeart contract/severance is done? I'm not a fan of his by any means, but perhaps just going by Peter might help him some if he's able to get another gig on air, whether it's here in DC or going back to Tampa.

Well you’re clearly keeping up with him since you said he’s been obnoxious lately. So why don’t you tell us?

True, but I feel like there's still people who would listen to him no matter what, even if he still continued on with the same hokey "war of the roses" and celeb gossip bullshit in between the same songs over & over.

How truly awful does a person have to be for a company to think it's worth it to pay that kind of money to make that person go away?

If he did something truly horrific, his contract would have a clause letting them term him for cause with no money. More likely they just determined he is such a massive PITA that it was worth buying out his contract.

It was probably part of his contract when the show went national a few years ago

Radio does not pay that unless you are in the Seacrest league, which he is not.
