yes, the stores are packed. No one is buying stuff. I was at the Montgomery mall (I know, mall shopping sucks) and so many stores are packed to the brim.

Did you go searching for store managers while shopping? I’ve shopped A LOT in my life and can’t remember the last time I spoke with a store manager let alone got into a business conversation with one.

dp.. you don't have to talk to the store manager. The numbers are telling.

Sales volumes are down even as prices are up.

Just as peoples electricity bills are skyrocketing, Trump kills electric projects that are currently under construction.

No they happened to be there and we just started chatting. I have worked retail for years while in college/graduate school and am friendly with retail staff wherever I shop. You might be surprised how friendly people can be if you are friendly and kind. Give it a try!

Friendly and kind is anathema to MAGA. MAGA hates everyone and thinks everyone is stealing from them.

Consumer spending rose according to the report.

Did the volume of purchases rise? Or are consumers spending more to receive less?

Because I have to say, my spending definitely rose this past year, but I certainly got less in terms of the amount of groceries and household items.

Are people really this gullible to believe these numbers? Serious question.

Obvious astroturfing, you really have been working to keep posting this. Anyhow...

Ignoring some facts, you probably won't come back here to address:

-One million more unemployed Americans than a year ago
-"Much of ‌the consumer spending acceleration resulted from a rush to buy electric vehicles before the September 30 expiration of tax credits."
-Stock market growth is primarily driven by a handful of AI stocks while the rest of the market is flat or down. Also...
-AI growth driving job loss (see the first bullet)
-Manufacturing down the entire time Trump's been in office
-K-shaped economy where a handful of rich get richer while the rest of the average Joe folks are not benefitting.
