Nov 22 will come and go with no vote. The trolls will go on the US soccer website and find out the next scheduled board meeting and start the nonsense over saying the vote is coming in x month. It's been the same story since the thread was started.

This thread started off based on rumors of people hearing whispers of what’s to come. So far they look like they’ve been telling the truth.

A wouldn't call them rumors, this was started straight from 2 ECNL podcasts. And now a 3rd ECNL podcast a few months later and now a press release from a league. So those aren't rumors but yeah, not much has been proven wrong (other than the big guess that it would have been announced by now).

I agree but when the ECNL podcast says they can do it without USSF, they feel like they have the majority, they want to do it, they said the only pushback (which could be strong) is that clubs don't want to deal with the messiness of change and it has been under discussion for close to a year, people's minds tend to run with it, I get that also.

What should give people pause is that they said that they want the change to be with most of youth soccer and they are not fond of band aid solutions like waivers or biobanding.

Should be a fun 2 months.

And I heard all of the above from a mystery website my cousin's brother told me about.

Stupid question here. Would this impact NCSL travel as well? I know there are far reaching implications…. But selfishly I have a Dec 30, 2013 player who hates he can’t play with all his friends. Does this mean it’s a possibility he could play with his spring 2014 friends next year? It would be amazing if that were the case.

Definitely a possibility but not definite, should know which way this is going about Thanksgiving. Best of luck to your kid playing with friends.

Was definitely real. I had access to the email and the follow up email they sent out the next day about filling out the questionnaire.

It asks about are you in favor for SY over BY would you want implanted for 25/26 or 26/27.

As well as what your thoughts are pro/cons about the subject. This info will be used to discuss with Us club next week before they and USYS make a final decision.

You are also being very biased here. You are taking a podcast as 100% fact.

He took it to a podcast because he knew the noise it would make (see 100+) pages here.

You don’t know US Soccers position here and what they have proposed.

Yes and hockey has a June 1 cut off and groups kids in two year cohorts.

The majority of team sports are school
Year. Wrestling is birth year where kids are grouped by 2 years together. When they get to high school it’s based off what grade they are in.
