This is VRSC and not ECNL. Go to your own page. Joker above says these guest players are good enough and earn their spots in practice. Every time these players play against good teams, they cause a loss. The coaches are just making false promises and adding poor players to rosters for dollars. These guys never learn the obvious lessons and it hurts entire club. Winning games matters and why ED is no longer coaching. He couldn’t win. |
Glad your kid isn’t on my kid’s team. Winning is fun, but it’s not the point. |
If your kid wants to play at a decent college you might want your team to win . Pp not living in the real world. Same poster expects his son to get a trophy when they lose. Life is full of winners and losers. |
No one is recruiting a 12yo though. Developmental ages should be about developing players not collecting medals for parents to post on social media. If you're not a high school player's parent talking about college recruitment is delusional and cringe. |
ED is coaching 2013G top team and they are winning every game and tournament. He will have 2 teams next season inc. Pre-GA. What are you so afraid of? |
Wow, that’s a great record. Can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the ga since they are doing so well. Go VRSC! |
Remove “VRSC” and the reference to the specific person (“ED”), and I would swear you’re talking about Loudoun |
That’s telling them! Your insight is amazing. |
A merger between these two organizations could strengthen the soccer ecosystem in Northern Virginia by creating a more cohesive pathway for player development and increasing the sport’s visibility across the region. However, such a move requires more than just combining names and logos—it demands alignment in training methodology, philosophy, structure, and execution. No way it happens.
The lack of a shared coaching methodology at VRSC is a significant obstacle. Each coach operates independently, resulting in inconsistent training experiences for players. This fragmentation means they are not being prepared for higher levels of competition in a way that translates to the game. When it comes to a professional pathway, the gap is even clearer. Aside from the goalkeeper, no players from VRSC have moved up to their affiliated UPSL team—a league that’s m more as a competitive adult amateur league (and shown on YouTube) than a stepping stone to pro soccer. Meanwhile, clubs like Loudoun United FC operate in the fully professional USL Championship, with a far more “standard.” Of course this is what, their third change in front office? It’s unlikely they would consider signing players from VRSC under the current structure—there simply isn’t the talent pipeline or development infrastructure in place. Without addressing issues, egos, non-alignment, a merger risks becoming just another name in an already crowded DMV soccer scene. Good luck LUFC, 1st place in the table and rocking it! Good luck VRSC! |
It’s a plan. Plans take time. Just like no one 5 years ago would have predicted what VRSC has today, I suspect many of us will be surprised by where they are 5 and 10 years from now. |
VRSC is performing well in GA. Recent moves with the club seem to be having a positive impact. |
Agree. 4 teams mid-table (6 or 7 of 14), 1 team top of the table, and 1 team bottom of the table. The team at the bottom graduates next month and, if you believe the Rankings App, the pre-GA team should hold their own. Not yet at FCV levels, but very respectable first year in a new league, with reason to be optimistic about the future. |
LOL not positive at all. Well, bless my heart but FCV mama went and emailed the coach, saying her DD won’t be playing defense anymore. And wouldn’t you know it? Not only does she start, but she’s out there playing another position just about the whole game. When are we gonna put a stop to this? It’s clear as day now—those FCV parents are practically running the show, and their DDs ain’t even the ones making a difference out there. Well, ain’t it somethin’? Also, the favorites miss practices but still end up playin’ nearly the whole game. Can’t we just hold everyone to the same rules and standards? |
Thank you FCV for saving Revolution. We owe you. |
Not quite right. Revolution bettered itself by taking advantage of TSJ’s mismanagement and/or neglect and giving chunks of FCV a better platform. |
