Got to find money to pay for the losses of Loudoun United. You think they merged with them because of anything else. What does VRSC bring to LU besides that. Don’t tell me player pathway, LU will always take the best players they can find and afford. |

Those things are not at odds with one another, as demonstrated by countless clubs around the world that attract raw talent by offering a pathway, developing that raw talent, promoting that developed talent when doing so makes sense, and buying talent developed by someone else when doing so makes sense. But you knew that. |

| How do you justify that a player whose only skill is to boot the ball far is a good player? A hs player who still can’t kick with left foot? A player who fouls as soon as she’s beat by a better player? A group of players who when actually competing against a decent team is forced to just kick the ball out (to the other team) and it come right back to them because they didn’t have the sense to kick the ball to a teammate. Then they blame the midfielder for not receiving it? The forwards who never run with the ball so it becomes one on one with no passing options. The constant attempt to recruited outside players because the ones you “developed” didn’t get the job done. Then there’s those who get recruited and never make it because they dont have many basic skills. If the game really is about getting the best players, well bp wins because he offfers them a real opportunity to play usynt in order to steal them away from other clubs. |

Like this isn't common amongst other clubs, especially ones that are places players want to play at. They're willing to compete for the ability to make the game day roster, rather than know they will be dressing for game day. |

Interesting that WTOP has been allowed to inform the public that players and Loudoun Utd office people weren’t / aren’t exactly thrilled with VRSC ‘merger’. Money talks… it’s a business. Sad for all USA youth players |

You have a reading comprehension problem. The players have been frustrated for years about the problems with Segra Field and ownership’s unwillingness or inability to invest in facilities and players. Many knew for months that VRSC was taking over—“worst kept secret”—which made post-merger conversations awkward since they weren’t new for some. VRSC is clearly taking on some risk with this move, but LU players are hopeful it means changes are finally coming. Easier to make the investments now with the team doing well. |
