“Iran’s negotiating demands have been remarkably consistent: a ceasefire in Lebanon including the withdrawal of Israel forces and the unfreezing of half of Iran’s frozen assets, about $12bn; a form of Iranian management over the strait of Hormuz; and detailed discussions later about how Tehran assures the US it is not seeking a nuclear weapon, including the down-blending of its highly enriched uranium stockpile.
Trump has been very close to agreeing these terms, but is trying to find ways to phrase them to make them more palatable to his domestic audience.
That is because on balance, the battle of blockades in the strait of Hormuz is trending in Iran’s favour. World oil inventories slowly running out, crashing the global economy from Japan to Brazil, seems more dangerous than Iran running out of cash and oil exports. The democratic west’s capacity to absorb economic pain does not match that of the Iranian regime.“

It seems to miss the quite obvious point that Iran and the US and the global economy would benefit from peace but that's not practical because of Israel's desires.

People are finally figuring this out.

He released classified information about Israel’s crimes during the attack.”

NAPALM on the USS Liberty.
34 Americans were burned alive, skin boiling from their bodies, after the IDF dropped Napalm on the unarmed ship.
He confirmed this yesterday in the U.S.
Congress.“

This is a good reminder that Israel is willing to kill or sacrifice both its own people as well as Americans, to achieve their strategic objectives. It totally applies to this war as well. USS is just one of the rare examples where they got caught.

Why do more Americans not know about this horrific act on the US by Israel? And why did it take Massie losing his reelection to bring it to the House floor?

Always wondered why LBJ handled this incident the way he did.

Unconscionable how long Israel has been controlling the US politics.

Did Israel really get caught? What were the consequences of their actions? Nothing? If anything, it incentivizes them to do other such acts against the US and still be considered America's number one ally. With allies like that, who needs enemies?

Because it was litigated and settled 60 years ago. It was "on the House floor" decades ago.

A Southern Poverty Law Center extremism monitor, Heidi Beirich, described the incident as a "rallying cry" for antisemites,[115] and the scholar Spencer Sunshine called it a "perennial favorite" target of neo-Nazis.[112] Iranian government-affiliated social media accounts have reportedly promoted Liberty conspiracy theories to incite hatred of Israel and Jews.[116] In 2018, the celebrities Brett Favre and Andy Dick issued apologies after a neo-Nazi group, the Goyim Defense League, tricked them into recording Cameo videos containing coded antisemitic messages referencing the Liberty.[115]

Not intentionally by its supposedly allies. And it was never litigated. The information and true devastation were buried. It's only now that the truth is coming to light. Maybe a little too late.

If an Arab or any other ethnicity did it, it would’ve been seen as an act of terror and act of war against the US. Israel did it so no big deal.

He was a Zionist supporter so he felt the need to cover for Israel

A former Navy attorney who helped lead the military investigation of the 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty that killed 34 American servicemen says former President Lyndon Johnson and his defense secretary, Robert McNamara, ordered that the inquiry conclude the incident was an accident.

In a signed affidavit released at a Capitol Hill news conference, retired Capt. Ward Boston said Johnson and McNamara told those heading the Navy's inquiry to "conclude that the attack was a case of 'mistaken identity' despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary."

This is far more impeachable than Watergate.

David Lewis of Lemington, Vt., was on the Liberty when it was attacked. In an interview, he said Israel had to know it was targeting an American ship. He said a U.S. flag was flying that day and Israel shot it full of holes.

Israel did the same thing to their other ally, the British. The British administration in Palestine was a target of violent Zionist terror gangs throughout the mid 1940s after the British lost everything fighting ww2/hitler . A Broadway play was even used to boost their cause/ support

So what exactly is supposed to happen tonight? I have been working and haven’t kept up with the latest chaos.

Does anyone have any idea about what’s going on with all of the pilots (and crew members?) who have been shot down during this war and survived? Have we ever been updated about the people who were shot down in April? What’s going on with the latest incident?
