I remember wearing a skirt like that in the 80s |
I love the outfit but agree the skirt could use some more room in the rear, would have a smoother line. |
No that's not normal. I have a skirt with a cut like that (it's not cinching, just cut to skim the curve under the rear)--it's for parties. The whole suit does have an eighties vibe, and front slits have been percolating through for the past several years. But with shoulder pads that thick, her tailor could have corrected for her listing. Asymmetry works better if it doesn't amplify bad posture. |
He is looking approvingly down her v-neck. |
Gross. Gross. Gross. |
The raw edges of her sleeves kill me every time I see this picture. |
It’s like she’s trying to be Baroness von Schraeder. But Elsa von S would never be that sloppy. Girlfriend sure likes her goofy sleeves like Mel likes her coats. |
![]() Very dynasty vibe. |
That’s funny because Ivanka often wears those gauzy dresses with the neck bow and bloused sleeves like Linda —— (Crystal Carrington) is wearing in the Dynasty clip above. Everytime she does, I post that my GM wore a similar dress to a wedding in the 80s. |
she doesn't have half the class of Joan Collins |
Yeah, I think there’s a complicated dynasty-esque triangle at the WH: ![]() |
Or business acumen. I wish her beauty brand shipped to the US, but alas, the last time I checked they did not. And STELLAR find, 13:31. The shade is so dark I’m turning on a lamp. |
The future’s so bright ![]() I’ve got to wear shades. ![]() |
The Dynasty poster is really onto something. So MUCH about this family's fashion sense and life choices makes so much more sense when viewed through the lens of an 80s primetime soap. Although I really think Blake Carrington (or John Forsythe!) would make a better president, and Crystal Carrington would definitely be a less wooden First Lady (which is saying something, considering that Linda Evans did not win any emmys for her performance). |
She almost looks like she could be Jared’s mom here. |
