The would beat SJC by 20 if they went all out for the entirety.

Speaks does pick up the phone. Played a tougher schedule than Landon or Bullis.

Best two teams I have seen this year are Benjamin and Spalding. Did they play either?

This Spalding team is special. It's also not in the DMV. But Ripley did buy a great 2025 class, possibly the best team in the country.

It’s in the M and close enough and they did play a number of local teams so they get a pass and get included.

Keydet arrogance -- It's not "letting Ryken have it." The Knights took it! SJC played like they did all year, weak at the X, weak in the crease, and wwith no composure when it mattered. SMR outworked them. But as long as SJC (and others) think they are entitled to win they will lose in the quarterfinals. You have a small number of players there who continually put themselves above their team and tout where they are recruited, that is the difference between this team and the team a couple of years ago. Those players were hard working and that made them stars. These players are over-privileged prima donnas who feel entitled to win. Without an attitude (and coaching) change, Military Road will likely become the place of first round exits.

Underrate SMR at your own peril!

Wonder where these boys feel their entitlement comes from 🤔 . 🍎 doesn’t fall from the 🌳

If you think that all of Maryland is in the DMV, you might get your DCUM card pulled.

Good list - but put SMR above St. Albans. They have wins over DM and SJC. Impressive.

Agreed, No one "hates 'em 'cause they aint 'em," They hate 'em cause they are insufferable arrogant entitled privileged jerks (who will likely say something dismissive like "Rent Free"). Its nice to see the parents and kids humbled after all their keyboard bravado and classless play this spring.

Ummm .... SMR and GZ are still playing, SJC is not. GZ won by 8 goals in a laugher. and Prep?? Were they just there to distract from you putting your kids at SJC higher than they belonged?

No way Ryken is behind St. Albans

SJC fan without the history to be caught up in the 2022 halcyon days. That said, I find the general obsession and negativity on this thread toward today's team and coach to be ridiculous and telling.

Here's my take: SMR played hard wire to wire. Really wanted it. Great effort on the 50/50 balls and opportunistic on the broken plays. Did not look like a #7 seed and took better care of the ball in crunch time. Good luck to them in the Semis.

I believe the last time Ryken knocked St. John’s out of the playoffs was 2015. Coach has done a great job keeping some of the talent in Southern Maryland like Coach Sothoron used to do.

Would DeMatha now have to play Ryken because DeMatha is the 1 seed and Ryken is the lowest seed remaining? Or is it pre determined that DeMatha has to play the winner of PVI vs. Gonzaga?
