There are many rappers that aren’t gangsters. Most of them unfortunately aren’t famous enough or do not have cross over appeal.

I can't believe he personally negotiated the hotel tape beating of Cassie. I figured he'd for sure have various "fixers" do that sort of thing for him. The man testified his manager said to ask for $50,000 (each?) and then Diddy personally counted out $100,000 cash for the master video and had NDAs for them to sign?! Crazy!

Or maybe buying hotel footage is so routine with celebs that Diddy knew it wasn't a difficult thing to do personally?

Wouldn't that video be far worth more than $100K if they sold it to a tabloid?

Are there laws that protect news media from revealing their sources? I'm wondering why CNN is not subpoenaed and forced to reveal where they got the tape, considering it contains a crime. It would be interesting to know how much CNN paid for it. My guess is that the hotel security manager kept a copy of the tape before handing it over to the other guy that then gave it to Diddy.

He's spent 25 years buying himself out of crimes by buying peoples silence. Whether or not people believe the rape victim (which I do - with others to come), I don't see how he isn't guilty of the other charges.

Yes, I believe someone recorded the video on their cell phone before Diddy was given the master recording and it was deleted from the cloud. For whatever reason Diddy believed them when they claimed there was no additional copies and it was deleted from the cloud.

I think that video would have been worth $1M+ if you sold it to a tabloid. A tabloid could have catch and killed it before shaking down Diddy for $10M+ for it. But security guards and even managers at hotels are not the most sophisticated people in the world.

$50K-100K is peanuts for something like that.
