CNalysis has now called every seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, and the result is a 50-50 tie! If those results are confirmed, Democrats and Republicans would have to work out a power-sharing arrangement for the chamber, as there is no tie-breaking vote.

DP. There you go deflecting again. We’re not talking about McAuliffe’s policy positions, we are talking about the feasibility of Youngkin’s campaign promises. That is what matters now, not what McAuliffe would have done if elected. Can you address any of the substantive questions raised in the past couple of pages as to how Youngkin will achieve his stated policy goals?

I voted D and I’m not familiar with Youngkin’s policy goals.

My dc goes to school with kids from all different backgrounds. There is a transgendered kiddo in dc's class, too. The goal for the community (it is a public school) is for *each kid* to feel supported, loved and celebrated.

Between this election and the screamers in Loudon County, I'd never, ever live in Va. It seems impossible there to get past the bumper stickers and just see people as neighbors with whom you can work together to support each kid.

I agree parents have had enough, but it’s not all about CRR and trans issues. Democrats closed schools for an entire year. People living in Virginia looked around at republican run states and saw their kids in school. With COVID not over and threats of new variants constantly talked about, no way do parents want another Democrat in charge.

Our area schools brought kids back in to the buildings around the same time as many other schools.

5-11 can get vaccinated within days.

Nope. When our kids went back in Feb/Mar there were many other schools (~40%) still transitioning back to school at the same time.

40% of what? The claim was that the closures were “all over the world.” My “we” referred to Virginia vs the world not vs Florida or whatever.
