No. Did you just make up your own list? What happened to Jack Black in The Holiday? Josh Hutcherson in The Hunger Games movies?

Will Ferrell can absolutely be the lead: Anchorman, Elf, Talladega Nights, etc.

And Meryl Streep can absolutely do comedy: Devil Wears Prada, It's Complicated, Adaptation, Death Becomes Her, etc.

+1 Don't be complaining about Will Ferrell-he was perfect in ELF. And Meryl Streep can do pretty much anything. She was fine in Mama Mia. Definitely not the "worst Hollywood casting decision ever".

Hollywood whitewashing is insane nowadays. There are so many decent Asian actors who are not given a chance it's just criminal.
Add Tilda Swinton in Dr. Strange, Natalie Portman in Annihilation, Matt Damon turning The Great Wall into a stereotypical "white man saves China" caricature, and Benedict Cumberbatch in the Star Trek reboot all as examples of Hollywood anti-Asian bigotry.

Clooney as Batman is a good example of Hollywood just thinking that an actor who is hot can and should be cast in any big blockbuster. That was sort of the height of Clooney-craze. I adore him and think he's great, but it's sort of like casting Carey Grant as Superman ... .yes, he has the looks, but he's got an underlying vibe that just isn't working for the character. Christian Bale might actually be my favorite Batman -- he gives off the vibe of someone who's been thru some sh-t (but maybe that's because I remember him from Empire of the Sun, which was a little traumatizing for me).

I agree with HC and NP in the Star Wars movies. They need to remake those movies with better actors.

NP was good in Hitman (or whatever it was called) when she was a child. And the one where she lived in the Walmart, (Where the Heart is). Ashley Judd is not good in that movie, though.

But I am still hating Kristin Stewart in ANYTHING. She is just a mopey, wet dishrag.
