Speaking of Natalie Portman, she was so unbelievable to me in the movie Closer. She was supposed to be a stripper, but had a childlike presence acting next to Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Barker.
Yeah, but at least she looks good. So top picks so far: Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell Hayden Christensen as A. Skywalker Keanu in any movie other than action roles (Matrix, Speed, Wick) or dumb-s$&t roles (Bill & Ted, Parenthood) Meryl Streep in non-drama roles Will Ferrell as the lead (great as a side kick, but never, ever cast him as the lead). And Kevin Hart, Dustin Hoffman, or Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher.
No. Did you just make up your own list? What happened to Jack Black in The Holiday? Josh Hutcherson in The Hunger Games movies? Will Ferrell can absolutely be the lead: Anchorman, Elf, Talladega Nights, etc. And Meryl Streep can absolutely do comedy: Devil Wears Prada, It's Complicated, Adaptation, Death Becomes Her, etc.
+1 Don't be complaining about Will Ferrell-he was perfect in ELF. And Meryl Streep can do pretty much anything. She was fine in Mama Mia. Definitely not the "worst Hollywood casting decision ever".
