you should tell them they while you all may disagree on the abortion issue, you are happy they consider human life sacred from the moment of conception to the natural end and hope you all can find common ground and put all your efforts together to save the sanctity of life in the form of supporting the end of the death penalty in the US, because they love life so much they for sure will be happy to work with you and financially support the end-the-death-penalty campaign.

for me this tend to work in the sense that suddenly there is a lot of backpedaling and I am left alone for a while
