Why wasn’t this made public at the time?

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska said Thursday that he believes he had COVID-19 late last year, developing coronavirus symptoms and prompting him to wait at least three months to get vaccinated.

Bacon said in a statement that he was exposed to an infected person and experienced symptoms, but never got tested. He said he’s expected to get a vaccine shot on Friday, and encouraged others to get one as well.

I have zero sympathy for any of them or their families. I also have no sympathy for those who refuse to get vaccine and do not give a fun if they all die. Their fearless leader and his wife were vaccinated SECRETLY.

This is the culture that has been playing out in a lot of the Red States - people come down with mysterious symptoms that are exactly like COVID, but don't get themselves tested. They only get tested once the symptoms are bad enough that it requires a hospital visit.

I honestly think this is why a lot of the positive numbers in places like TX and FL are inexplicitly low, even as cases rise in other parts of the country. They have fostered a culture of "don't ask, don't tell." And those who are positive don't want to be excluded from socialization.

It's wild.

Yep, it's the "if you don't test, then the numbers don't look bad"... but even with that attitude, FL numbers are going up.

I have absolutely no sympathy for these people. The vaccine has been pretty well available for most adults for weeks, and this guy actively spread disinformation.

Look at the Denver Sheriff Twitter account. He was the SECOND deputy to die of Covid this month.
