one of the biggest problems driving the panic is the fact that we have a completely untrustworthy leader in Trump. You can't believe a word he says and he doesn't give a shit about the lives of every day Americans. It's sort of poetic that his most ardent supporters will likely turn out to be people who are most susceptible...older people with underlying health conditions (brought on my unhealthy lifestyles)

There are strains that make determining point of contact easier. The person called Taiwanese American apparently lives in Taiwan and the strain matches Nile cruisers. Taiwan had a tour group to Israel that flew on the same flight as a released Diamond Princess passenger [Israeli ]. https://focustaiwan.tw/society/202003020024

He was diagnosed with COVID-19 soon after arriving home, however, and all other people who had been on TK784 were required to leave Israel immediately as a precaution"

Have DC, MD, VA given out flight numbers or TX which has more Nile River cruisers? Every Nile Rver cruiser should be monitored and at a minimum go into self-quarantine.

When China had about that number on 1/22/2020, they quarantined Wuhan...let that sink in for a second

He has no more control over this virus than you do. Most decisions will be made at the state and local levels. I don’t think he’s a good president, but all of the political garbage has got to take a backseat to finding real solutions now.

Agree that they should give out flight numbers out of interest in public health. Lots of people come in contact with passengers from flights and not just other passengers. There are people that work in customs area, wheelchair pushers, various airline employees.

And at Dulles, depending on the time of the day, there can be 5 or 6 flights all coming in at the same time and all standing together in the passport control lines together for sometimes a long time.

I wish it were garbage, but it's not. Trump and his administration has tried to downplay and hide the ball on this thing for weeks now. And by doing so he has sown a great deal of distrust and all sorts of misinformation. So nope, won't stop.

Unfortunately, the government is still a key player making key decisions. Right now, it is still preventing doctors from doing their job. Trump needs to be part of the solution - tell him to get on board, not us. We are already ready.
