You don’t want to see them. You want to stop them. They will more than confirm the extortion that Trump, Giuliani, Sondland, Volker have already admitted. The Republicans don’t want a transparent investigation. They want to shut down the investigation.

Release the transcripts. Now.
Schiff won't because they don't fit his narrative.

That is delusional. They will come out when the investigation is complete, as is appropriate. Trump admitted the narrative. Giuliani admitted the narrative. Sondland admitted the narrative. Volker produced the receipts. Yovanovitch, Hill, and Taylor are rock-solid witnesses to the extortion scheme. How is all of that not obvious?

After yesterday’s circus, Schiff is probably even more sensitive to protecting witnesses from intimidation by keeping the initial depositions in a controlled environment.

Funny - I have heard reports that they are considering making these public due to the public backlash.
When you attempt to invalidate the votes of over 60 million American citizens, you best be prepared to be transparent about it.

The only person who's invalidating your vote is Trump, by committing impeachable crimes. Be angry at him, not at the people trying to uphold the Constitution.

Darrell Issa was escorted out of a House deposition on Benghazi on Tuesday after he tried to crash the closed-door panel on Capitol Hill, NBC News reported. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), the chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, had no qualms about kicking Issa out of the meeting. Issa previously conducted an investigation into the deadly 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya, but he is not a member of the congressional committee — and after Gowdy confronted him, Issa stormed off. "I'm a prosecutor, we always follow the rules," Gowdy later told NBC News. "[Issa] is not a [Benghazi] committee member and non-committee members are not allowed in the room during the deposition. Those are the rules and we have to follow them, no exceptions made."[i/]

Thanks for finding this! Also to remind everyone, the rules they are following now were instituted by that partisan Democrat, Paul Ryan!

There was a FULL HOUSE VOTE to establish the Benghazi committee. There were actual rules to break:

On May 8, 2014, the House voted 232–186 to establish the select committee, with 225 Republicans and 7 Democrats in favor, and 186 Democrats voting against.[1] The chairman of the committee was Representative Trey Gowdy from South Carolina.[2]

A select committee is different than an Impeachment. Why are you more concerned about this than the actual crimes being committed by the White House?

“If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell”

You are yelling like hell.

With a vote, Republicans could call witnesses and the President could have counsel present. Why doesn’t Schiff want that if there are crimes being committed?

What? Where do the House rules say this?

No, he won’t because there are still upcoming witnesses and he doesn’t want them to tailor their testimony to what’s already been testified to.

Oh, please. That is such a BS excuse.
Most of these "witnesses'" opening statements have already been made public. The public knows what they have said due to leaks.
Why can't we see the questions that were asked and their responses? Because..... they don't fit Schiff's narrative.
The Democrats learned from the Mueller testimony that open hearings don't work in their favor. Simple solution - make everything secretive.

DP.. you are a moron if you think an opening statement is the entire sum of a person's testimony. Investigations are always private, whether in the government or the local police.

Notice how when local police are investigating a crime they don't make every statement they gather public right then and there. Any junior law enforcement person would tell you that.

Presidents committing crimes is very unusual, too. Impeachment is very unusual. All of this is very unusual.

What happens when the suspect asks for a lawyer during interrogation? The police must STOP their interrogation. Due process

Yes, Taylor or Cooper could have asked for a lawyer, refused to answer, even taken the Fifth.

They didn't, as far as we've heard.

I’m going to let this sit out there for effect. It’s amazing some people here have no clue about due process and Constitutional rights and feel the Feds can override that.

PP’s labeling you guys “braindead zombies” is right on.

Us brain dead zombie heads, aka voters, would like to witness the testimony. If you are so secure in your knowledge that you can prove your theory, why not let us voters witness the investigation? The public supports police officers wear body cams when they enforce the law. Why does House leadership think they aren't accountable to the public?

We watched the people going in for the depositions. That's equivalent to your "body cameras".

Police interviews aren't televised. Nor should they be.

Judge Napolitano on Fox News said that Chairman Schiff is following House rules and the Republicans should show respect for the process. The Fox News host immediately jumped in asking ’their rules - don’t they make the rules’ (meaning the Democrats). To which Judge Napolitano answered that actually they cannot just make up rules and they are following rules that were instituted in 2015 by a Republican held House and signed by John boehner
