Yes. This person gets it. Adultery is never a winning move but it's a career ender for a politician who made religion one of his/her selling points, as Omar did.

Omar denies an affair and Tim Myott denies an affair. Before accusing her of adultery you may want to find a bit more evidence that she actually is guilty of it.

Didn't the voters know about her marrying another man legally while still in a religious marriage to her current husband? Then divorced other man and married the current husband legally a month later? That's a lot to follow for the average voter, especially ones who look to her religion as a positive factor in voting for her

No, they did not. It was not covered by the media. Her area's local paper, the Star Tribune, provided cover for her. They have a huge portrait of her hanging in their offices.

Her Muslim constituency is perfectly aware of the subtleties between civil and religious marriage. It is also well aware of the utility of marriages of convenience. None of these things are taboo.
