How do you go outside... and not smell like outside?

How do you get the outside smell out of your hair, without washing it?

Rinsing does not work. Conditioning the ends doesn't work. I need to wash my hair.

I don't know how to explain this to you nutters, but it is NOT a nice smell. The outdoors of DC is not like the outdoors of the mountains of Switzerland or the valleys of France.

The smell that sticks to you here is noticeably unpleasant.

I agree. It's air pollution. I smell it when I open my windows too.
