We went to both. SYC had more kids at the younger ages. Apparently, the LMV team from the 09 age group is completely coming to SYC. LMV was a bit smaller but from what I could tell had some quality players.

maybe they were quoted for bonuses based on number of players that they could bring along.

if they are making a 5th team at one of the age groups I guess bonuses all around

I thought I read they will all train together..that might get a bit crazy with 60+ kids for one age group.

copied your comment into syc thread since this is more applicable to them. Best of luck having enough coaches to train 5 teams per age group. Minimal attention and coaches stretched thin.

Alexandria and Arlington both have 5 to 6 teams per age group. CCL, NCSL and ODSL. It is doable!

Yes but they have the coaching staff numbers to support it.

Plenty to fill a Red but you can thank your new coaches for dragging entire teams with them. Hope Orange and White and maybe lower are ok with you.

Top teams and top players at syc would still make blue there I would think. A color change from blue to orange won’t matter to most unless it hurts the ego. They will still play against the same competition as orange as they did with blue. LMVSC white teams playing red next year will be almost impossible. Maybe they compete with the bottom level CCL teams at best. White teams at any club can’t compete in CCL top division.

Sadly it looks like the complete opposite. They are running away in masses. After our first tryout I quickly registered for the other tryouts because of the poor showing at tryouts. The talent level has completely dropped.

Doubtful. Would have to be really bad to have that happen. CCL wouldn’t want to lose LMVSC so it would have to be bad for a while before moving the club down to CCL2
