Trump is not informed about how Government works. We have 3 branches. The House of Representative has passed a CR to fund the Government for another month. It is up to the Senate to pass it. The president will sign whatever is put on his desk. He is not the problem in this instance.

Failed leadership. That's on him.

He created the problem by 1) cancelling DACA and 2) undercutting the bipartisan deal last Thursday.

Republican Senators Graham, Flake and McCain are voting nay while Democrat Senators Manchin and Rounds are voting aye.

I am so stupid and don’t talk to any intellectuals here in rural Bethesda. Can someone explain why the Democrats stepping in their message and spreading it throughout the house?

Mancin and Rounds have re-elections in Red states this year.

The Dems aren't holding anything hostage.

DACA, ACA, CHIP and the things that have been contentious are the status quo. It's the Republicans who are demanding changes to those programs.

It's the Republicans who are forcing decisions on those items into the budget bill rather than having a separate debate and vote on them.

BS. He didn’t “cancel” DACA. He overturned an EO Obama put in place and put the onus back where it belongs. And, DACA is not part of a funding plan. It is separate totally and they have until March to flesh out a plan.
The Dems are playing politics with the American people.

Rounds? Senator Mike Rounds from South Dakota? He is a Republican, not a Democrat. Someone's confused.

BS. If DACA can wait til March then why are the Republicans trying to attack it and take action on it NOW?

Rounds is a Republican who is opposing the other Republicans.

Odds that the govt shuts down? Doesn't look good for staying open? I am a contractor with a fed agency and am supposed to be at a conference next week...

Oops. Sorry about that. I clearly am confused. Apologies again!

Except McConnell won't allow it to come to the floor for a vote. He has repeatedly rejected it. Why do you think he will allow a bill to come to the floor in February or March?

95% chance of a shut down. DJT is running out of the city at 4pm, the GOP can't even get all their members to vote for it. A bunch of whimps who control 3 branches of government can't get their sh#t together.

It's done.

My prediction? Trump will sign the bipartisan Graham-Durbin bill next week, after he gets thrashed by the public. Cuck'd.

I thought I heard he's not going. Not that it matters much....

POTUS has graciously decided to stay in DC until tomorrow-ish, rather than somehow "virtually" signing a CR or budget by Twitter, as originally stated.

I agree with this.
