Shutdown Rhetoric

“It always happens to be the top. I mean, the problems start from the top and have to get solved from the top. The president is the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room and he’s got to lead When they talk about the government shutdown in the future, they’re going to be talking about the president of the United States.”

Trump is not informed about how Government works. We have 3 branches. The House of Representative has passed a CR to fund the Government for another month. It is up to the Senate to pass it. The president will sign whatever is put on his desk. He is not the problem in this instance.

What they should do is pass the bill that Graham and Durbin put together. It will be veto proof, but McConnell won't let it hit the floor.

So that is fully on McConnell.

This is the main issue. Graham and Durbin have a deal, that's what Democrats want to vote on. McConnell and Trump need to get their sh#t together.

McConnell does not want to bring it to the floor because he does not know what Trump wants. Do you think this is normal, since they are both in the same party? They are literally holding everyone hostage for toddler whims

DJT will sign ANYTHING put in front of him. He's cuck'd.

It's a good deal:

CNN lies.

He's still cuck'd. He will sign anything that comes across his desk. And his advisors know that.

Why pass a CR? This will be the 5th CR by this Congress. Just pass a real, permanent budget. There's zero reason to do a CR.

“You don't like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election. Push to change it. But don't break it. Don't break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building. That's not being faithful to what this country's about."

STFU with that nonsense. He most certainly is the problem here.

Then why did he shoot down the bipartisan deal presented to him? He's become the problem.

This is true. It takes 60 votes in the Senate. Republicans only have 51. The Dems are the ones to blame here if the gov’t shuts down.

....except Republicans don't have 51 votes. McCain (sick), Graham (no), and Paul (no) aren't voting for it. You only have 48, at most.

I wish the Donald was man enough to have this on his desk, but he's a quitter who is running off to Mar-a-Lago at 4pm today:

What are you talking about? His flip on the permanent bill is the reason a CR is even being discussed.

All Dems should vote against allowing Schumer to vote for. Ending the name calling.

LOL As of thirty minutes ago, the Republicans did not have 51 votes.
