The Scott family has seen the dash cam video, according to family spokesperson

"The family of Keith Lamont Scott has reviewed the video that shows the moment when police fatally shot him in North Carolina on Tuesday, the family's attorney said.

Police in Charlotte have confirmed to ABC News that they have video that shows Scott had a gun in his hand during his interaction with police officers before he was fatally shot. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said earlier today that the footage he reviewed does not provide "definitive visual evidence that would confirm that a person is pointing a gun."

When the Scott family was asked if the video they saw matches what police has described, their attorney replied, "No comment."

He doesn't have to actually be pointing the gun. If he had it in his hand and refused to drop it in accordance with police demands, that alone can be seen as enough of a threat to justify the shooting.

What doesn't make sense to me is that while the Charlotte case is "murky," the Tulsa case is pretty clear-cut. Yet the riots are in Charlotte and not Tulsa.

Because there are leaders in the Tulsa community that provided avenues for expression. This included meetings in churches with predominately black members. Some video that I saw had quite a few people of other races in attendance. A black minister was interviewed and he spoke about the anger and seeing to it that what happened would be addressed and that justice would be served.

That would explain, at least in part, the difference in reaction between Charlotte and Tulsa.
The east coast is more populated than OK is - more outside agitators come to Charlotte.

I spoke to my friend in Charlotte today. There was a shooting a couple of years back and the officer was acquitted. People were pissed. Those are locals and young people.
