That would explain, at least in part, the difference in reaction between Charlotte and Tulsa.  
The east coast is more populated than OK is - more outside agitators come to Charlotte.

There was a story that showed some of the same people at Ferguson was in Baltimore. Paid protesters/agitators? Now, a quick search gave up the following and I don't know much about the site so fwiw here it is.

I have no doubt that many of those being violent and destructive - looting and stealing - are from out of town.  They are “opportunists” looking to get free stuff.  [/quote]
