Uh you realize Jolie and Pitt didn't carry on some long illicit affair right? It was all over the tabloids before this that Aniston and Pitt were having trouble. He meets Jolie and very soon after he divorces Aniston.

In some ways it is karma. Jolie also came between Laura Dern and Billy Bob Thorton. What goes around comes around. I feel bad for the kids, but not for Angelina.

She has also grown up, become a mother and an ambassador.

Agree. Think she just had phenomenal press/PR folks. Everyone seems to have forgotten what a complete nutjob she was, and the things she said and did. (The vials of blood?) Just because she started dressing like a lady doesn't mean she became one. BTW, that was Brad's influence, he did the same with JA--that's his taste in clothing. She dressed like a freak before.

And she's nuts. She's admitted to cutting/self-mutilation, had mental health and substance abuse issues (heroin), etc. Doubt she'd flip a lid over Brad smoking pot.

Children of alcoholics frequently have no tolerance for a spouse who drinks. Children of deadbeat dads have no tolerance for dads who don't take care of their children. People who overcome addictions don't tolerate other addicts in their lives.

That's not hypocrisy. That's wisdom gained through hard experience.

Though I agree with an earlier poster that it's more likely that this is her story for posturing with the press, and the real reason is the infidelity stories about Cotilliard many weeks ago. But she knows cheating is a terrible press release for her, so she makes him look bad with kids and it plays into her saint angelina image, much better.

The problem with using a parenting issue as cover for infidelity is that no court would ever grant it based on that. I'm sure any lawyer would have said so.

So there was either something he did that put the kids at risk or she's asking sole custody to punish him - or both.

As a child of divorce, I have no respect for someone using kids as a reason to break up a family. If there was "an incident" then you fix what led to it, with priority placed on kids maintaining a relationship with both parents. If you decide you can't move forward with that parent, you don't put out a press release stating the kids are the reason. It's a shitty thing to do to them.
