| I would like to know if any of you saw our Technical Director or Technical Staff attending your house training or games? My family and a few other families are really disappointed with the lack of attention to VYS House. |

Why should the technical director come out and watch your house game? It's house. |

Eddie Lima came out once or twice to my older kid's games around U9 or U10, mostly to observe coaches. At U8, the year before travel, several people came out to games. Not sure whether they're doing that this year. But generally, there's only so much they can do. Between travel and House, you're talking at least 200 teams. |

Don't be silly. A TD doesn't get paid all that money to watch house games. Honestly, what would you expect him to do watching let's say a 15 year old house game and the kids can't link 3 passes together? The kids are in house because they either don't have the talent or commitment to move on to the next level. Why have our TD spend time there? People can report back and he can do some things but to expect him to use his weekends to watch house is silly to me. Bigger fish to fry. |

| Have to agree. I'd be shocked if any large club in the area has a policy that its TD should watch every team, house and travel, at least once every year. The OP is being unrealistic. |

| I believe there is a misunderstanding here. I don't think the VYS house families are asking for the Technical Director to attend all House training and games. It is not possible! I believe what they are requesting is for the Director to show up at few events to oversee the coaches, players and families. I am not involved with House but I heard some complains about him and other directors not being involved at all. I understand their frustration! I would not pay for a service if I am not get getting anything back, would you? |

I believe you're misunderstanding what the OP wrote. The poster was unhappy that s/he hadn't seen the TD on the field at any of her little Messi's house league game and so VYS must not care about house league. That's crap. VYS has over 60 travel teams, around 65 boys house teams and around 45 girls house teams. The TD will not see each of those teams play, it's just not realistic.
Just because the TD has not been to their superstar's game does not mean they are not getting any services. There are coaching clinics for the house coaches being put on by the technical staff; there are additional training programs for players overseen by the technical staff. |

| The VYS technical staff has held clinics and created practice plans for House coaches to use. It's been helpful. By the way, I would be humiliated if the TD watched my House team play right now. Please stay away. |
