Any colleges you wouldn't allow your kid to go to?

Any school were the student participating in Greek Life runs more than 50%....I would strongly discourage my DC from attending.

Wouldn't send my kid to any schools with the history like those. George Wallace, etc...
My kid doesn't like the Confederate flag waved at sports games. Some can overlook it. DC says that would be a deal breaker.

I refuse to pay anything more than our state school, save for HYP.

He can post a few hundred more times and it's still not going to make College Park a desirable location or U. Md. a sought-after school.

But but but... Andy Griffith and Michael Jordan are smart!! They really are!!

Be sure not to use google , the universal product code at the store , wear Underarmour or Nautica, listen to Sirius satellite radio , use gasoline with an octane rating , watch a weather report with Dopplar radar, watch Seinfeld , let the kids see the muppets , land in a plane with retractable landing gear or go to a stadium with a Jumbotron, put Nixon back in office. Or you will be building up UMD too much!!

Have fun watching Andy Griffith and watching Air Jordan historical clips! Or whatever UVA alum have produced( I can't find anything ... It's hilarious)

This may seem out of place given the current focus of the conversation. I need to address the frequent use of Andy Griffith as a punch-line when denigrating UNC. Andy Griffith was a highly talented stage/tv/screen actor, singer, producer, and director. He is credited with several Emmy nominations, multiple Tony nominations and a Grammy for gospel singing. Anyone who thinks this guy is a joke needs to see the 1957 film, A Face in the Crowd (Larry Rhodes as one of the most chilling film characters of all time). During a career that lasted 60 years, he was one of the most successful TV actors of all time (other than Lucille Ball, perhaps THE most successful). Later in life, Andy was inducted into the TV Hall of Fame, received the Congressional Medal of Freedom, and was strongly considered for a Senate run from his home state of North Carolina. Far from a joke.

You might be surprised at which schools are "frattier" than others. MIT runs almost 50/50 frat/non-frat, according to USNews:
