maclaren's are overrated. why would anyone get a stroller with a basket that won't fit a diaper bag?!

i miss my baby trend snap n go.

for those who don't judge... not even a judgment for those who spend $1200 on a stokke?!

I love our Maclaren because it's really lightweight, easy to maneuver and has cute polka dots on it (DD loves "her" stroller... her brother doesn't ever ride in it). Yes, my diaper bag fits underneath.

I don't think Maclarens are really much to be judged for... and I think people are lying if they say they don't have any judgements when they see a $1200 stroller (unless they're like my husband and have no clue what they're even looking at). If you notice it's a Stokke/Orbit/etc, I think everyone judges at least a little bit subconsiously!

This thread is hilarious! I love reading all the opinions, good and bad.

Do I judge people based on their stroller? I have to be honest, Yes I do.

I think Graco strollers just look cheap and ugly and sorry it does make me think the family doesn't have much money.

We have a Phil and Ted stroller and I love it. Yes, it was pricey but well worth the money. We also have Maclaren Limited Edition Lulu Guinness Bed of Roses Stroller and I love it. And I could care less if other moms are judging me (which they are since I see them looking at my strollers and diaper bag no less up and down). I also wear quilted jackets and my children do so I am sure many of you are judging me. I really don't care.

I have many friends with both the Bugaboo and Stokke and no problems with it. They are fantastic for city dwelling.

What I find the most hilarious is when another mom comes up to me and says, "Ohhhh...we have the SAME Phil & Ted stroller!!!" I just politely smile, but really inside I am thinking to myself, I could care less what stroller YOU have and no, I do not want to be your new mom friends. thanks very much!

How stupid and shallow is it to judge other moms by their stroller or any other such thing. Grow up - we aren't in high school anymore, ladies.

Have you read the thread? Virtually nobody actually judges people by their strollers. Don't believe everything you read in the media. The posts are right here. Read them.

Of course I judge mothers by the strollers they use.

For example, when I see a mom wearing a quilted jacket pushing a Maclaren Limited Edition Lulu Guinness Bed of Roses Stroller, I politely smile and think, I know what you posted on DCUM, you fool.

I hate to admit it but I am a stroller snob. I think people with Maclarens and City Minis are practical. I tend to feel sorry for people who push around a Graco or something similar.

I think its silly to judge parents by their stroller, but there will always be shallow people who do. A stroller is just an accessory, like your purse. And I don't buy my purses to show off a brand or to impress anyone - I go for features and quality.

I had a Graco travel system with my 1st. Hated it. Unless I was on a smooth surface, it was useless.

With my 2nd, I hated myself for the cost but fell in love with the UPPA. I haven't regretted it since. If I had a dollar for every time I thought "I love this stroller" then I've paid for it many times. We used the bassinet for travel and nap sleeping, it goes over every surface without complaint, and I can carry volumes in the basket (as opposed to the Orbit). And if we decide to stop our family where it is, I can easily get $300-400 back on CL.

Practicality and quality win every time for me.

Ha..you feel sorry for ppl that push around a Graco? Are you kidding me?

I have always loved Metrolite for the size of it's basket as I live in a $2million house which is walking distance to Whole Foods.
We also own a beautiful rowhouse in NW. I am a size 4, my kids are blonde, blue-eyed and have continually be asked to model, my husband is a serious hottie, I have a fantastic family (including a great MIL), our HHI is $500k+, I WAH 100%..making 6figures with complete flexibility, no debt.

Really- I don't need your sympathy.

It's kind of scary that you take pride in the fact that your children are blue-eyed blondes.

Oh, goody. I was beginning to worry that this thread has had its 15 minutes of fame. I am relieved to see that it's alive and well.

Different than taking pride of a stroller? I don't make fun of kids with different cor hair or skin---nor do I judge them or their parents by the stroller they are riding in.

Since my hair is dark brunette it is quite impressive.
