Gross.

Stop trying to make the woman the helpless victim. She put herself in the situation where her professionalism and reporting is now questionable. She's a journalist covering him not the other way around.

+1. It's gross paternalism to think that she can't be held accountable for her actions.

GMAFB.

It's sexist to always focus on the woman, not the man, in these situations.

This is different situation. She is a reporter apparently hooking up with a source/subject/in the know on the one thing she reports. She is married and has been accused of this before.

And he’s the face of a 5 billion dollar team in a 300 billion dollar pro league. He has no integrity. He is honestly a disgrace.

I agree with you. It's always the woman that takes all the ramifications professionally and personally, while the men just get to trot on with life as if nothing happened.

You're both just wrong here though. For him it truly is just having to deal with the family implications. She can never be a "real" journalist again and it would be the same if it was a "he" as well. There are many faces of big companies with infidelity male/female that get worked out internally. It's quite different when you're sleeping with a source.

No, for him it was alleging using his mistress for the last 10 years (!) to launder fake news to benefit his career and hurt others. It’s tampering and it’s strictly forbidden in NFL bylaws. He ought to be fined substantially and suspended for at least a season.

The writing was on the wall.

She’s a broken drama-stoking woman constantly going out of her way to desecrate her marital vows, her husband and young children. All for what? To be some NFL “access” reporter parroting nonsense nobody will remember next week. Dream big.

If her reporting ever gave the Patriots a competitive advantage and/or they helped her coordinate this mud slinging the franchise should also be fined and lose draft picks. This is much more egregious than Tom Brady allegedly deflating a football a couple pounds.

It’s a significant breach of journalistic integrity. Brings down the reputation of the entire NYT newsroom.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for her or something?

That's not remotely the point.

What is your point? That poor little women can't be held responsible for their actions.

That rabid hags will viciously tear apart complete strangers for sport.

Seems like women like you and Dianna can't seem to figure out why the sisterhood doesn't rally around you. It's truly a mystery.

The “sisterhood” is toxic garbage.

You are the worst of women.

Uh huh sure. But you looooove the women messing around with other women's husbands and sleeping their way to the top! Rah rah!

I haven’t made any comments about this woman you are all trashing.

The bigger issue is how gossipy vultures get off on crucifying complete strangers.

Nobody is even talking about her. This is over and people moved on. She resigned, case closed.

Liar.

Source for these allegations? It's been mentioned on here several times but I haven't seen it reported elsewhere.

I'll try to use small words so you can understand. She can, and should, be held responsible for her actions. The point is that she is dealing with more because she's a woman. If it were a male reporter and a female coach, everyone would make a bigger deal about what the coach did and let the male reporter get away with less.

The more you talk the dumber you sound. You can't seem to understand that they have different jobs and different expectations and therefore different consequences. She got caught flying a little too close to the sun. Oh well.

Show me where I said that. I'll wait.

The point, which you seem incapable of grasping, is that if the roles were reversed she would still take the majority of the heat.

Oh great, it's the "I'll wait" poster.
