You could lobby Israel to release their 10000 hostages for starters as well as stop raping them. Including children who have been held for years now...never hear much sympathy for any of them.

New investigation into case of gang-raping of male Palestinian hostage by Israeli soldiers

Many prisoners have been released by Israel yet our American Mr Alexander is not one of them.

We also put children in jail when they do things like stone throwing. In fact we have an entire juvenile criminal justice system.

An investigation is just that - an investigation which could be followed by charges if substantiated.

There is nothing like that for our American being held.

All hostages held by Hamas need to be released.

Really, an investigation? There's footage of soldiers raping the Palestinian hostage.

You talk about an American hostage being held yet the IDF has killed multiple American citizens in the past year. That is really government doesn't care about its own hostages when they've killed far more than they've rescued.

Trying to justify having children hostages taken without trial or tortured with forced confessions is just shameful.

Your whataboutism when it comes to an American held hostage by a terrorist organization diverting aid for its own people is what’s shameful.

Sad that you can't even condone the taking of child hostages. The Zionist mind is disgusting. Maybe if your Zionist government actually cared about the hostages instead of killing them and starving them and using them as a pretext for genocide, they'd be free.

Fascinating that you assume I am a Zionist. It really doesn’t cross your mind that mainstream non Jewish Americans supports Israel, does it?

My mistake and I do sincerely apologize. You don't need to be Jewish or Christian to be a Zionists or Israel supporter - just racist.

Ritualistic name calling is so 2020 and people aren’t falling for it any more. Keep to the issues not personal attacks, if you’re capable of that.

Both Jews and Palestinians/Arabs are white.

Jews can be black, white, Asian…

This isn’t it, it’s recognizing that aid gets diverted or taken over by the terrorist group in control of the region, Hamas, not the intended needy population.

What can we do to force our leaders to do something?

Vote for democrats next time. People vilified the Biden Administration and ended up voting for Trump claiming they were the same. They weren't and aren't.

This.

The extreme left is doing extraordinary damage to America and to Palestinians.

It’s an astonishingly stupid act of self-immolation.

Oh shut up. The extreme left isn't who voted for Trump

The extreme left is why Trump got elected. Scenes like the Columbia library takeover are extremely alienating.

I’m generally on the side of the the country that doesn’t want me and my countrymen dead. Team Israel.

The fact that Egypt and Jordan don’t want them even when the Queen of Jordan is Palestinian should tell you something. If the people that know them best aren’t fighting for them, then why should I?

Also they’ve been “starving” since this all began.

I would highly recommend those that don't understand the context for what's happening in Gaza right now to read some of Jewish author Ilan Pappe's books.

There's a lot of propaganda, misinformation and deliberate lies that comes from the side of the colonizer/occupier/genocider in order to justify their own Holocaust. It's all over this thread just as it is in the media and elsewhere.

Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, Ten Myths About Israel, and The Biggest Prison on Earth: A History of Gaza and the Occupied Territories are all excellently researched books that are both shocking and illuminating.

I don’t really care about what happened in the past. Israel is no saint, but they don’t hate me. Can’t say the same for Hamas.

Yeah, the ethnic cleaning of closed to a million people is no big deal because it was in the "past." I wonder if you'd say the same thing about the Holocaust.

I don't know man. They would kill anyone including their own people if it helped them achieve their greater to grab land. Their bombing and starving their own hostages for starters.

Fertility rate in Gaza is 3.6 - 7.0 children per childbearing aged woman, each of the last 30 years.

Makes no sense to have non-stop kids in poverty, no job, region run by religious terrorists.
What’s going on?

The poorest countries of the world also have the highest fertility rates. It’s always been the case.

Contraception and abortion are usually restricted by "authorities", in Gaza case - Hamas.

Women have zero rights in Palestine. Their role is to pop out babies.

They were also “starving” before their Hamas leadership ordered the October invasion, killings, and hostage taking in Israel.

Calling someone a racist isn't name calling. It's factual. Supporting a racist regime makes you racist. Of course, you're going to deny Israel isn't an apartheid, but the facts are out there.

It's shameful you think so little of Palestinians and Palestinian women in particular.

But that's not any different than how the IDF views them. Not only have they killed tens if not hundreds of thousands but they also have been using sexual violence as a weapon of war for decades (including on children).

Israel may not be killing us but they sure don’t help us either. Their intelligence agencies knew 9/11 and the 1982 Beirut bombings of the Marines were going to happen. And they didn’t tell their friend because it helped their political goal. Then; there’s the JFK situation. Their role is becoming ever more clear in that.

It was not the Cubans, KBG, or the Mafia involved. Mossad was

Very tired of this uneducated response. It is 2025. Wake up please.

The US taxpayer is providing BILLIONS in taxpayer funding to Israel every year. If we can stop doing that then the Israelli made wars will have to stop and they will have to learn to play nice with their neighbors. We wlll have a safe world.

Many of us are tired of the US being a vassal state and treasury for Israel.

How absurd and myopic. Israel didn’t start October 7 and the world wouldn’t become “safe” if this conflict ended. Do you think the whole world revolves around this one conflict??

You are right. Israel didn’t start this on Oct 7th. It started this in 1948.

Israel’s enemies lost then and Hamas will lose now.

How will Hamas lose? They’re growing in size despite the war. Israel has failed to kill or reduce Hamas’s numbers but they’ve successfully killed all the non Hamas like nurses, toddlers, pregnant women, the elderly.

Supposedly, there are still hundreds of miles of tunnels untouched despite trillions in Us weapons spent to bomb . The bombs are so intense and detonated so rapidly by Israel , some don’t even detonate so not only do the bombs actually make the deeply entrenched tunnels/trenches Hamas needs to hide, they also get free undetonated Us weapons that they never would’ve received if not for Israel’s aerial bombing. Israel has given Hamas not just bad PR but a free arsenal and higher recruits than they normally would’ve got in pre 10/7 Gaza.

No war is won in the air: it has to be won on the ground. Israel failed.

The Hamas will likely be taken out by another Palestinian force. Maybe Gazans can collect these undetonated weapons or form a secret cabal armed by IDF to take out Hamas. That’s the only way they can really be taken out: by underground warfare/tunnel fights which IDF does not have the capacity to do
